About
Squad-Games
How the Squad-Games started

In the spring of 2021, Giacomo approached Dakotah with an idea: “What if we started a podcast?” Around the same time, the largest Kill Team tournament organizer announced their retirement and asked Dakotah to take over organizing the Las Vegas Open (LVO). From that moment, Squad-Games began to take shape.

What started as a simple podcast idea quickly grew into something bigger. We launched a YouTube channel and Twitch stream to create engaging content for the gaming community while taking on the responsibility of hosting the world's largest Kill Team events.

Behind the scenes, Saya has been the heart and soul of Squad-Games, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Her dedication and hard work have truly kept Squad-Games moving forward.

Meet The Squad

Dakotah Luster
Fearless Leader| Events Director | Executive Producer | Product Designer
Squad Games’ fearless (and colorblind) leader, Dakotah is the creative mind behind the scenes—and often in front of them. From designing custom hobby products to directing some of the largest Kill Team events in the country, he brings passion, energy, and a deep love for the game. Dakotah is also the founder of Highlander Hobbies, a premium line of Kolinsky Sable Brushes. When he’s not organizing events or inventing the next great accessory, you’ll find him deep in D&D lore, watching Dragon Ball Z re-runs, quoting Lord of the Rings, or getting tilted in League of Legends.

Alex Popov
3d Designer | Production Assistant | Streamer
Hi, my name is Alex and I am relatively new to the table top hobby and community, having started my journey in 2022.
What drew me to the hobby initially was cool miniatures Warhammer setting, but in the end stayed for the people and great experience at the table top.
At Squad Games I am helping out with 3D-printing projects and occasionally assisting with running streams.

David Stevens
Stat Goblin | Morale Officer | Phobos Enthusiast
David has always enjoyed Science Fiction and Fantasy since he was a young boy, and began playing casual rounds of Blood Bowl with a group of close friends for a short stint of time during high school. David began his Kill Team shenanigans during the 2nd All Valley Team Tournament hosted by Squad Games when his best friend asked him to join his team for the event.
Since then, David has found a welcome home in the competitive Kill Team scene in Southern California; doing his best to add levity to any game he participates in, and always on the hunt for the ever-elusive opportunity to murder-snuggle another unsuspecting victim in the Kill Zone.
While doing his best to balance his love of the hobby with family life, David helps to support Squad Games through statistical compilation of competitive Kill Team events, and participate in whatever other odds and ends wherever and whenever he can to help keep the Kill Team community fun and thriving.
